At At the well we pride ourselves on doing a simple menu really well. Perhaps you have heard of our Transatlantic Pancakes (£8.50). They are getting to be pretty darn famous in and around Stokes Croft. We are pretty sure there is not anyone else in Bristol that pairs American pancakes with scrambled eggs, buttery mushrooms, streaky bacon all finished with a liberal dousing of maple syrup. We defy anyone to not be converted to this magical cross-cultural brunch phenomenon cooked up behind our very own doors. If your hangry or hungover, tuck right in.

We make loads of stuff here. From our cakes to our spiced pumpkin syrup, from our lemonade to our superfood granola, we truly believe that the best eating and drinking experiences come from cutting out the nasty additives that go into processed foods. We are big believers in just-like-mum-used-to-make cooking which, when coupled with the homely hum of our washers and dryers, leaves you feeling right at home.

Our smoothies are made with real fruit, our soups homemade and seasonal, our eggs are free-range (Clarence court) our coffee is roasted 25 minutes from our door by Extract Coffee Roasters, and our bread is baked daily by Joe’s Bakery.

If you are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or dairy free, do not fear, there are plenty of treats for you too. Our avocado and spinach green smoothie (£3.00 perhaps paired with our delicious homemade smokey baked beans and smashed Avocado on Sourdough toast? (7.00). We always have gluten free bread so your gluten-free-ers can still get a bacon sandwich (£3.50) or mushrooms and eggs on toast (£6.00) or a boiled egg and soldiers (£3.00) no problemo. Any of our drinks can be made up with soya or oat milk, just ask at the till. In fact, we are a pretty helpful team so if there is something you could do with or do without just ask. If required we can also make recommendations for the indecisive!
